Customer Service / Showroom Assistant

Pushchairs and Car Seats is your local independent baby goods store based just outside Wallingford, Oxfordshire, OX108DY.

We are looking for a new showroom assistant to help out in our busy Wallingford Showroom on Saturdays. We offer personal, practical advice and guidance to parents looking for products for their baby or toddler. Previous knowledge of the nursery industry is a bonus, but not essential as full training will be provided. Some retail or customer facing experience would be useful, as well as basic computer skills due to having an actively busy online store. We pride ourselves on having a thorough knowledge of the products that we sell.

Your duties would include

- Demonstrating products to customers - usually on a 1 to 1 basis

- Following up appointments by email with additional information

- Answering email queries

- Answering telephone queries

- Assisting customers with child car seat fitting.
 

- Processing transactions through the website/card machine

- Updating the website

- Keeping the showroom clean and tidy

We are particularly looking for someone to work on Saturdays 9.00-5.00pm but some extra adhoc hours could be made available for the right candidate.

The role would suit someone who is organized, a good problem-solver and keen to help customers at an important stage in their life.

We offer a competitive hourly rate (£10/hr) based on experience as well as commission on sales.
